Krossblomfamilien (Brassicaceae) er ei plantefamilie med tofrøbladingar. Blomsteren har fire begerblad og fire kronblad. Oftast seks mjølberarar, to korte og fire lange. Fruktene i klase, anten nøttskulpe som ikkje opnar seg eller ledskulpe som brotnar av led for led, men oftast skulpe med midtvegg som står att med frøa når dei to skulpeveggene fell av. Femtiein planteslekter finst i Noreg. Svært mange av artane og slektene i denne familien finst berre på avfallsplassar eller forvilla frå hagar, eller dei veks som ugras i åkrar. Nokre av artane som har kome til Noreg har vorte svært talrike.
