Partita


Partita var opphavleg namnet på eit enkelt instrumentalt musikkstykke på 1500- og 1600-talet, men Johann Kuhnau (Tomaskantor i 1722, etterfølgd av Bach) og seinare tyske komponist (mellom andre Johann Sebastian Bach) nytta det om musikksamlingar, som eit synonym for suite.


Johann Sebastian Bach skreiv partitaer for fleire instrument. Dei for soloklaver publiserte han som Opus 1 (kjend som Klavierübung I). Ein annan suite i H-moll, Ouverture i fransk stil (ofte berre kalla Fransk overture) vert stundom rekna som ein partita. Bachs partitaer er særs sjeldan kalla «Tyske suitar».


Bach skreiv òg tre partitaer for solofiolin i 1720, som han slo saman med sonatar.
