QNH


QNH er Q-kode for ein metode der lufttrykket vert redusert slik at høgdemålaren i flyet viser høgda flyplassen ligg i når flyet står på bakken. Med ISA (internasjonal standard atmosfære) temperaturforhold vil høgdemålaren måle ei høgd over midlare havnivå i nærleiken av flyplassen.


QNH skil seg frå QFE, som omformar høgdemålaren slik at den er null når flyet landar. Medan det er nyttig å bruke QFE når ein flyr i eit trafikkmønster rundt ein flyplass, er det mest vanleg å bruke lokal QNH når ein flyr frå flyplass til flyplass. Her kan ein òg nytte standar trykkinnstilling (1013,2 hPa). Når 1013 hPa vert brukt vert flyet sin vertikale posisjon refert til ein flygenivå i staden for ei høgd.
