Musefamilien (Muridae) er ein familie av små pattedyr. Det er litt over 600 artar fordelt på dei 77 slektene i familien.


Familien er utbreidd i Afrika, Eurasia, Japan, Australia, Tasmania og Mikronesia. I tillegg har menneske spreidd han til Amerika.


Dyra varierer i storleik frå 5-48 cm og 5-1500 g. Dei har lang, oftast naken, hale kledd med skjel. Augene, øyrene og bakføtene er forholdsvis store. Dei er aktive heile året. Dyra er altetarar, men lever for det meste av frø og frukter.
