Port Levy er ei lang, skjerma bukt og ein liten busetnad på halvøya Banks Peninsula i regionen Canterbury.


Det noverande folketalet ligg under 100, medan staden midt i det 19. hundreåret var den største māoribusetnaden i Canterbury med eit folketal på kring 400[2]. Han har fått namn etter Solomon Levey, ein forretningsmann og skipseigar frå Sydney som sende fleire handelsskip til området kring Banks Peninsula i 1820-åra.

Bukta vart busett av Ngai Tūāhuriri, ein understamme av iwien Ngāi Tahu, og høvdingen Moki kalla henne Koukourarata etter ein bekk i Wellington, til minne om fødselen til far hans, Tu Ahuriri.


Dette var også bustaden til Tautahi, høvdingen som sumplandet Ōtautahi fekk namn etter - no
staden der byen Christchurch ligg.


Den første anglikanske kyrkja for māoriar vart bygd her, og ein stein markerer staden der ho stod.
