Innebygga gardsrom i British Museum.


British Museum er eit av dei største og mest berømte musea i verda. Det ligg på Great Russell Street i Camden i London, og blei grunnlagd i 1753 av Sir Hans Sloane. Museet opna 15. januar 1759. British Museum eig om lag 7 millionar gjenstandar, blant anna Rosettastenen og verk av Albrecht Dürer.


British museum er det eldste, største, og mest populære museum i England. Det er ein stor oppbevaringsstad for skattar frå heile verda, deriblant egyptiske mumiar, samuraisverd, vikingvåpen og greske statuer. Mange av samlingane kjem frå legen Sir Hans Sloane.
